Good to know!

Lately I was occupied at the Damascus International Fair as the company i work for had a big private booth there...

What caught my eyes this year is there's no sign for the Saudi or the Egyptian flags i don't know how many other countries dropped out this year!!!...well...BOOHOO!!!...as if!!!...

There was this young business woman from China "Ms. Ma" that we were supposed to keep busy as much as we could so she won't get the chance to meet others...

So i gathered a bunch of guys n' two girls she already been introduced to and my brother n' went looking for her...when we finally found her n' i introduced my brother to her...her immediate reply was not nice to meet u or any other formal reply!!..."u r so handsome"..."all of u r so good looking here"..."Just like movie stars"...that's what she said...i didn't know what to say except "well too bad they r all taken"..."except for my brother"...her reply was simply "i know a Chinese girl who w'd love to marry u"...of course my brother's smile was up to his ears...i guess he'll be hearing from her soon :P...boy we mad a scene there...

After all isn't it good to know that Syrian ppl are handsome JUST LIKE MOVIE STARS...

What do u see when u look at me?

  • What do you see when you look at me
  • Do you see someone limited,
  • or someone free?
  • All some people can do is just look and stare
  • Simply because they can't see my hair.
  • Others think I am controlled and uneducated
  • They think that I am limited and un-liberated.
  • They are so thankful that they are not me
  • Because they would like to remain 'free.'
  • Well free isn't exactly the word I would've used
  • Describing women who are cheated on and abused.
  • They think that I do not have opinions or voice
  • They think that being hooded isn't my choice.
  • They think that the hood makes me look caged
  • That my husband or dad are totally outraged.
  • All they can do is look at me in fear
  • And in my eye there is a tear.
  • Not because I have been stared at or made fun of
  • But because people are ignoring the One up Above.
  • Maybe the guys won't think I am a cutie
  • But at least I am filled with more inner beauty.
  • Real men are able to appreciate my mind
  • And aren't busy looking at my behind.
  • Hooded girls are the ones really helping the muslim cause
  • The role that we play definitely deserves applause.
  • We have the strength to do what we think is right
  • Even if it means putting up a life long fight.
  • You see we are not controlled by a mini skirt and tight shirt
  • We are given only respect, and never treated like dirt.
  • So you see, we are the ones that are free and liberated
  • We are not the ones that are sexually terrorized and violated.
  • We are the ones that are free and pure
  • We're free of STD's that have no cure.
  • So when people ask you how you feel about the hood
  • Just sum it up by saying 'Baby, its all good!' ;)

A girl named Nadia from Sweden once wrote this poem about girls wearing hijab (covring up their hair)...well it must be said that things are different around here, but still!!

Modern History My A**

History was my most hated class in school...especially when it was about our modern history...i used to think its sooo stupid...how any retarded half-brained idiot can accept such treaties and agreements...even a stupid child could see that it's not fair and it's not in our favor!...
Now to the coming generation it will be ancient history...and i can't help but to wonder what will they think about their modern history?!!!...

Syrian Bloggers say: Today, we are all Lebanese

Today, we are all Lebanese.

Lebanon has been sentenced to death. On Wednesday 12July, she was put in prison, and now she's beingtortured.
Syria and Lebanon haven't had the best relationshipover the past year, but there isn't one Syrian whowishes Israel's deadly war on our neighbour.
Israel's war is with Lebanon's civilians, notHizbollah. Nearly every person killed has been acivilian. Power stations, bridges and petrol stationshave been targeted. Israel has warned residents to getout of certain villages, but bombed roads make itdifficult - and refugee convoys have been picked outfor deadly air raids.
And getting out of the country is impossible now too.The airport has been destroyed, the sea ports areblockaded, and the border posts and highways have beenrazed to the ground.
Lebanon is held hostage to the angry Israeli warmachine. And every Syrian blogger stands by her.
Another generation of Lebanese will know nothing butwar. We can't let this happen. Again.
This post has been supported by the group of Syrian bloggers at Syria Planet.

HAZY VIEW!

No matter how much news u watch every day u can't imagine how ugly war can be!...
Oh My God...places I used to pass by like every day...and there's one TV channel that shoots from a place that seems to be right from my window right from our balcony!...what once was a cheerful view of the sea side is now a missed up dark hazy traumatized view!...
Though it seems that Mr. Hasan Nasralla is the only real MAN alive...and I admire every word of his...but I sure hope that this war won't go for long...cuz no matter how arrogant n' mean the Lebanese ppl r none ever should go through this terror...

So much for World Cup 2006

So Brazil lost the game and the world cup is over to me...ya3ni it is a big deal to me...it's a dam shame...

But I would like to say something for those who called me after the game to scorn n' teas me...

Even though it was past midnight...even though I could hardly breathe...even though i was extremely upset...
I answered your call...
Even thought I could turn my phone off...even though I could press the red button...even though I could let it keep on ringing forever...
But now i know this as a fact...
After your absurd phone call...the game score is still the same...Brazil is still out...
BUT...the numbers on ur phone bill r much bigger than before...I know now how far u can go...and so much for being there when I need u...so much for friendship...

The World Cup starts Today!

Finally it's the first game for Brazil and I can't be more sure that we're gonna win...

Funny how both Syria and Brazil are classified in what is so called third world countries...they won the world cup 5 times and I can't remember when we ever won anything...who knows?!!...

Someday - Flipsyde

Try to lie but it ain't me Ain't me
Try to look but I can't see
Can't stop right now cause I'm too far
And I can't keep goin' cause it's too hard
In the day in the night it's the same thing
On the field on the block it's the same game
On the real if you stop then it's no pain
But if you can't feel pain then it's no gain
Rearrange and you change and it's all bad
And you try to maintain but you fall back
And you crawl and you slip and you slide down
Wanna make it to the top better start now
So I hold my soul and I die hard
All alone in the night in the graveyard
Someday one day I'm gonna be free and they won't try to kill me for being me
Hey someday...
You know we're gonna lose it someday
And we tryin' to hold it all together but the devil is too clever
so I'm gonna die you gonna die we gonna die
Someday one day I said...
Am soooo buying their album...

Trigger...

Yesterday I needed something to clean my earrings before butting them on so I found this nail polish remover...it is mostly alcohol...after I returned it back to it's place I took another look at it...what the hell it's doing on the shelf over my bed?!!!...it so does not belong there!!...
That's when it hit me all over again...the dates on that bottle 1998-2002...O' MY GOD it's expired 4 years ago...I put it there myself to remind me that one day I might wanna stop biting my nails n' put some nail polish...how some stupid object can trigger so many bad memories...i just quieted everything was in my hands...
It was my cousin's wedding party(not to mention that we were so close n' she was 15 at that time n' I was crying the whole time) my mom challenged me and we had a bet that she would buy me some nail polish if I can manage to grow my nails...well that was the year 1998...at the end I lost the bet but I used my charm n' she bought me not one but two transparent and pearly white...i gave away the first to a younger cousin n' kept the other it's dry now n' look disgusting...but I kept it anyway...I started this awful habit the year 1996 now 10 years latter I take a look at my bloody swollen ugly finger nails n' cant help but to tell myself what the hell is wrong with u?!...i thought u r much stronger than that!...

Detached...

Some shit I wrote about 2 months ago...but it still feels the same!...

- Everywhere I touch it feels so cold!...
- I thought I heard someone say
- "Hurry up!" feelings are on sold...
- Believe me I tried but I just couldn't
- All my life I've been taught that I shouldn't...
- Is it because I like being free?!!...
- Or is it because am blind n' I just can't see?!...
- Either ways am numb n' am glad about it
- Who cares for sorrow?!...
- "Not Me" hear me shout it...
- "Eyes on the Prize" lord hear me say...
- Whatever happens I'll stay this way...
- Who cares if I ended up alone, as long as I got you!
- Fear never shall be ear n' forever secure...

Self Nudge!

Well I guess its time for me to wakeup and smell the shit...No more Mister Nice Girl...am really done with that...

People never stop surprising me!...how some perfectly nice person all of a sudden shows his/her true colors and all of sudden you just can't trust ppl. or even trust your self and your own judge of character..

And like my sweet 2pac said:
I can be a villian if ya let me
I'll Muthafuck ya
if ya do upset me
tell the cops to come and get me!

Funny how the song title is HEARTZ OF MEN!...:D

Shoulder to cry on...NAAAA!...

The moment i opened my eyes this day it just felt wired...my brain was absolutely working on safe mode...not even 5 cups of coffee helped...at work there's a lot of work to do but somehow a stupid virus damaged the server and every other computer at the company...we hardly could operate on one pc...all day i was wondering around disorientated...i desperately needed a hug...i thought how wonderful it would be if i had a shoulder to cry on...
But now it's almost 11 PM...thinking how amazing what a couple of friendly phone calls and a couple of 2pac songs can do!...and hopefully tomorrow is just another cheerful happy day!....

Generations...

This weekend I had the strangest conversations...first I discovered that my 12 years old cousin have the complete Eminem n' 50cent collection...boy i was shocked 8/...so i felt like it was my duty to sit down with him n' gave him some "PARENTAL ADVISORY"...since his parents probably can't or wont deal with such thing...so i explained few points about what's good n' what's bad in rap music...n' i tried to make sure he'll stick to the good ones only...hehe!...i even had this 2pac VS. Eminem n' 50cent talk...i don't think he'll change his mind but at least i tried :P...

The next one took place when i was watching the former vice president interview with my family...when all of a sudden my 7 years old brother ask me...WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MASK MAN "Al MUQANA3"?!...honestly first i thought he was saying this suggesting to change the channel on some cartoons...again to my amazement he was asking about the witness in the Millis investigation 8/...
Well hope the generations to come will be ready to face the challenges of their time...n' continue to finish what we couldn't!...SO HELP THEM GOD!...

Submission, Islam & Willpower

Thank God am in some kind of peace with myself n' the world these days...so i came across a 600something pages book my mom is reading...usually i wont even come near these books...the book's name is "Al Mu3en, Al Mueen"...so i took a random shot...it talks about how that the submission to God in Islam doesn't contradict the dignity, freedom n' grace of every human being...
A saying for Eben Taymeyh: "Any person who egoism stops him/her from worshiping God and following his guiding principles...no doubt he/she will be worshipping something else...because humans are driven by willpower...and every will leads to a goal...so those who disregard God and his loving teachings as a glorifying goal will find themselves idolizing other things and will end up worshipping it...wither it's Money, Power or Image... So the more a human being devote him/her self to God the more he/she will be liberated from any other creature"

Just say i do!...

NO it's not about a marriage proposal...but the thing is yesterday not 1 not 2...6 of my friends...either i ran into or called me...well the 6 of them told me about their screwed up relationships...i like to think of myself as a really very positive person...but come on people what's wrong?!...since i came back to this country that's about 5 years ago...i never heard about a successful relationship!!...

am not an expert when it comes to relationships n' i'll never BE...but just a little piece of advise...GuYs...stop being so ARROGANT...GiRlS...stop being so DRAMAcidal...

let's do a kind of a survey here...if anyone around here ever met someone who had a successful relationship...just say i do!...n' when i say met...i mean like really shock hands with at least once...cus the "the brother of a sister in law was a neighbor of a friend of mine" don’t count...

hehe what u know!...this post is over with not even a starred word :D...

Life! or So they SaY!

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon (tennis championship) player was dying of CANCER...he received letters from his fans from all over the world...one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease?"...To this Arthur Ashe replied: all over the world 50 Million child start playing tennis, 5 Million learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to The circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, and one winner...When I was holding the cup I never asked GOD "Why me?"...And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"
Happiness keeps u Sweet...Trials keep u Strong...Sorrow keeps u Human...Failure Keeps u Humble...Success keeps u Glowing...But only God Keeps u Going..... "A winner is not one who never fails...but one who never QUITS!"...

I'll never steal my dad's car again...I'll never steal my dad's car again...

So it's just one of those days where everything is just so dam **********...(i made a promise to myself i wont use bad words in this post...so am trying!)...i showed up at work 30 minutes late...n' i have a French test later in witch i knew nothing about...but i told myself it's ok...i can manage to find at least an hour at work to study few words...well it turned out to be one of those days when i barley had time breath...n' the ******* girl next door(from my previous post "so consumed") entertained me with some ***** DRAMA :S...then i went back home n' i hade only 30 minutes to read few words before heading for the test!...well i forgot myself studying n' ran out late...so i told myself " u have to take u'r dad's car"...keeping in mind that it's not ok with my dad for me to take the car "long sorry!"...LUCKY me the GAS light was flashing...thank god i had some extra money to fill it with gas but first i have to pick up a girl living near bye...she had to be late 8/...Rushing like crazy to the gas station n' then to the one of the most ***** obnoxious places in this town where they had to build the French cultural center..."Ba7sah" what's with that name anyway?!...again with my ***** luck...no place to park...i went for at least two blocks...try to find ur way in those one way narrow streets with cars parked on both sides :S...n' am late remember!...so here comes the drama...i thought i found myself a place to park but it turned out to be a dead end...going backwards i hit a taxi parked on the side...the driver in his mid 40s...i just froze n' got out of the car n' asked some guy to park it right!...the girl that was with me is one of those mean ***** girls she started raising her voice on him n' i had to shut her up n' push her away...i mean really push her away like guys push each others in fights...though it was a mild scratch the guy threatened to call the cops...n' i told him please leave them out of it...then he asked me to call my dad...well saying my dad's gonna kill me...i also told him that u can call the cops or even take me to the police station but am definitely not gonna call my dad!...i asked him what now?!...he said: how much u gonna pay me to fix this...i told him that i don't know how much these things costs...again he asked me to bring some one from my side to estimate it...i told him clearly that am not gonna call anyone n' am gonna deal with this all by myself...i can see that he was amazed to her that!...so a guy from his side said give him 500...i looked at my friend n' told her that i only have 250 after i filled the car with gas...she went into her purse to see how much she got...when another guy...well i don't know how many guys were there but quite more than 10...so that guy stepped in the middle n' said give me the 250 so i gave it to him then he took the 50 n' returned them to me n' gave the rest to the taxi driver...well he said nothing n' i was relieved...n' some guy from a near hotel offered to park the car at the hotel...so he took it of course with my friend while i just standed there in shock...how i ever got out of it with only 200!...to my surprise the taxi driver ended up apologizing to me n' telling me how "2kaber" n' diplomat I am n' how a b**** my friend was...n' he sincerely offered to give me back the money...i strongly refused n' thanked him for it...n' the hotel guy also sincerely offered to give me some money!...rushing back to the French course with my friend swearing all the way while i was still in shock...the test was canceled :)...but the lesson we took was a tuff one n' i understood nothing of it :(...after that i discovered that my dad's car was in a mess with a serious twist at the right door...n' on my way home i took 2 wrong turns n' got a ticket for passing a red light i honestly didn't see cus the cars in front of me were moving...so that's just about it!....see how nice my day was?!!!!!....

More than a Flag...

I love my country I love my flag...
None ever should argue with that!...
